We celebrate with the twins this week - they have gone to be with their new Mom and Dad!!!
What a joy it is to see adoptions taking place, and to see how the twins in our home, who have been with us for a few months, have now moved on into a home full of love, joy and of course a Mom and Dad - we couldn't be happier for them!!!

On Wednesday this week we welcomed two beatuiful babies. One month old twins. A boy and a girl weighing only 2.5 and 2.79kg. Such a precious bundle from God!!
Monday was Another GREAT Day in Botshabelo!! 3 excited and adorable siblings finally got to meet their Mamma and Pappa!! As they left the property they waved and shouted goodbye with huge smiles on their faces. We will miss their personalities greatly!!
On the 30th of November 2012 we, in conjunction with Urban Life Church, will be hosting an evening of Christmas cheer!! It is going to be a fantastic evening full of carols, music, shopping and a kiddies carnival. There will be loads of traders at the market, selling all kinds of goodies, as well as a live band for carols and entertainment.
Mandela Day is a day when people are inspired to spend some of their time and resources for those less fortunate around us.
This Mandela Day, Botshabelo invites you to spend your 67 minutes with us.
Deloitte hosted a fun day for around 800 children from the Philena Primary School at the iKya property. There was the sounds of childrens laughter and shouting all morning as they enjoyed the different activity stations. There were 10 jumping castles, a craft station, ball games and a dance station. The morning was very well organized with children in groups moving between the stations and all getting a chance to enjoy the different activities on offer.
We have opened a home for our older children! Christine Dettman is the Housemother and we have moved the first two children, Lesedi and Zizi in with her. It is quite a challenge and a lot of adjusting is going on at present for all concerned! It is wonderful to see how these two little ones are already blossoming and growing in confidence after only a few weeks in a "normal" home!
Bokamoso, a group of Midrand University PR students held a party this week for the Babies Home children and they had sourced donations of a fridge and storage containers for the home. They are continuing to source items from the “needs list” and are a very enthusiastic team. Contact Glynda at the office (011 468 1950) for the updated Botshabelo needs list if you are interested to contribute.
