Bring groceries, baby & education essentials! Let’s spend 67 minutes together making a difference. Run a collection at your workplace, school, or community during Mandela Month and drop off items at our Midrand campus.

Babies Home Needs

• Groceries & Staples: Maize meal, rice, flour, sugar, oil, baking powder, tinned food (pilchards, baked beans), cereals, pasta, noodles, sauces, peanut butter, jam.

• Beverages: Long-life milk, juice boxes, Oros, coffee, tea (Rooibos, Five Roses).

• Snacks & Pantry Extras: Instant porridge (Morvite, Jungle Oats), biscuits, Oreos, marshmallows.

• Baby Needs: Formula (Nan, Lactogen, Nido), baby cereal, Purity, nappies (sizes 0–6), wipes, toiletries (Epimax, shampoo, Vaseline).

• Baby Health: Medications (Panado, Iliadin), vitamins (Vi-Daylin, Crèche Guard), bottles (Nuk, Pigeon).

• Household & Support: Toilet paper, tissues, refuse bags, air freshener, and store vouchers (Clicks, Dischem, Checkers).

Preschool & Rural Education Needs

• Essential Learning Tools: Storybooks, crayons, glue, powder paint.

• Paper Supplies: Reams of A4 paper (critical need for preschool and rural teacher training).

• Creative & Classroom Use: Art materials like coloured paper, paintbrushes, kokis, scissors, and sponges for painting activities

• Painting a 25th Birthday splash design on our Donation Centre wall = R3670 (Approx Cost of Supplies)

• Planting a sensory garden at the Babies Home = R1670 (Approx Cost of Supplies)

• Making puzzle blocks for rural KZN learner = R670 per hour (Approx Cost of Supplies)

• Sorting and organising clothes for the Donation Centre = No Cost

• Babies Home kitchen renovation = R80,000 (Estimated Cost)

• Repainting bike track + push bikes = R25,000 (Estimated Cost)

• Exterior painting and signage = R30,000 (Estimated Cost)

• UpliftED - Rural KZN training trips (x4) = R25,000 per trip (Estimated Cost)

• UpliftED - Rural classroom supply kits = R10,000 per school (Estimated Cost)

You can ask friends and family to give financial donations or items from our Wishlist. We’ll be sure to help you thank everyone!

Rally your friends, family and colleagues, gather items from our Wishlist and donate them to Botshabelo. This can be as simple as collecting second hand items from your neighbourhood or being a drop off point for formula and nappies - no matter what it is, it’ll be a huge help for us!
