Celebrating 25 Years

25 Years of love, care and change

Botshabelo began with a simple vision: to create a world where every child is safe, every woman is empowered, and every community thrives. Over the past 25 years, we’ve grown from a small initiative into a movement, supporting township preschools, caring for abandoned babies, and equipping women with skills for a brighter future. Our anniversary isn’t just a milestone - it’s a testament to the power of community.

Join us as we continue this legacy of love.

Ways to get involved

Whether large or small, your contribution will strengthen our hands to empower women and children.

Botshabelo Babies Home provides a nurturing, loving environment for orphaned and abandoned babies, offering individualized care to help them thrive until they join their Forever Family. Volunteers can make a lasting impact by assisting with physical and emotional care, engaging in play, or supporting daily tasks like cleaning and organising.

UpliftED

UpliftED empowers preschool teachers in low-income communities in Gauteng and KZN through practical training, educational equipment, and school renovations. Volunteers can contribute by facilitating teacher workshops, developing training materials, setting up learning spaces, or supporting donation drives to enhance early childhood education.

Urban Kids

Urban Kids preschool delivers quality education to children regardless of socio-economic status, fostering their growth in a nurturing environment. You can support through monthly scholarships via debit order or volunteer by assisting with classroom activities, organising materials, or maintaining learning spaces to help every child prosper.

Donation Centre

The Donation Centre sustains Botshabelo’s programs by distributing donated items and generating income for the Babies Home. Volunteers can help sort and organize donations, prepare care packages, collect items, or support fundraising efforts, directly contributing to our mission’s sustainability.

Your donation counts!

Making a donation to Botshabelo is a great way to make a difference in the lives of the women and children we serve. Plus, for all donations tax and BEE benefits apply for individuals and corporates. No matter how or how much you give, you can be sure it’ll reach our beneficiaries and create change in our nation.

Fundraise with us

We are better together!

  • You don’t have to do all the giving yourself! Share our proposals and information with your company to connect them to effective and meaningful CSI giving that has employee involvement, 18A tax and BEE benefits. Your company can give back to Botshabelo in many different ways - we’d love to explore them together.

  • Join us in making a difference through fun and games! Whether you're playing with friends or as a company, every game you play helps support the children at Botshabelo. All funds raised go directly back into providing a safe, nurturing environment for our babies and supporting our dedicated caregivers.

  • Whether it’s through your Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary or another special celebration, asking for donations instead of gifts is an inspirational way to mark your special day. You can ask friends and family to give financial donations or items from our Wishlist. We’ll be sure to help you thank everyone!

  • Rally your friends, family and colleagues, gather items from our Wishlist and donate them to Botshabelo. This can be as simple as collecting second hand items from your neighbourhood or being a drop off point for formula and nappies - no matter what it is, it’ll be a huge help for us! And we’ll support you every step of the way.

  • Planning an adventure? From mountain climbing to cross-country cycling, running marathons or trying out a triathlon - your adventure is a great platform to raise funds and awareness for Botshabelo. We’d love to hear about your next escapade and help you make it even more meaningful.
