Volunteer
Botshabelo has welcomed over 100 local and international volunteers over the years. We have been blessed to have local volunteers who are committed to our children. We require our local volunteers to go through the application process and meet with our Volunteer Coordinator. As soon as a local volunteer has been accepted, we ask that they commit to one day and time per week in order to continue bringing security and consistency to the home. Our international volunteers go through a similar process.
Botshabelo has worked with international volunteers from; Brazil, United States, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, England, Scotland, Australia and many more. The potential volunteer must complete the application and send it to our Volunteer Coordinator via email or fax. We recommend volunteers committing to longer than 3 months as there is bonding that takes place between the volunteer and the child. Most of the work will be in the Babies Home, but we do ask that all our volunteers remain flexible as things change and needs change. Therefore, we do not promise anything, but require each volunteer to come with an open heart.
