Botshabelo kids get spoiled by Indwe Risk services
A big thank you to Indwe Risk Services for their generous contribution to the Botshabelo Babies Home! Indwe Risk Services wrote the following article for the Midrand Reporter:
"Our insurance company, Indwe risk services turned three this year and decided to celebrate this day by giving back to its community. Botshabelo was the charity decided on by the Indwe risk services CSI committee chosen to host and organise this special event. Botshabelo is a Children’s home based in Kyalami and looks after children and babies who have been abused, neglected, abandoned or orphaned . The home is run by a wonderful team staff together with volunteers who come from all over the world to give their time. As Botshabelo relies largely on donations, they needed quite a few items for their home to run effectively. Indwe then stepped in and donated a microwave, baby food and a pair of school shoes for a little girl.
The objective however, was to not just donate the goods but to spend time with the children and make the day a special one. The CSI committee also planned a fun day for the children aged 1 to 6 years old. The event was scheduled to begin 12pm with
a list of fun activities planned for the little ones.
A jumping castle was blown up for the children and a clown was onboard to surprise them with a vibrant performance. The kiddies were then treated to lunch and Afterwards Indwe staff were given an opportunity to interact with the children. Next, the clown brought along some face paint to create little Spiderman’s, batman, fairies and Barbie’s faces which filled the play area. The magic show was the highlight of the day as the little ones gathered around and watched in awe as the clown created swords, animals and butterflies out of balloons.
Ultimately, the day was a wonderful success and seeing the children’s happy faces was enough for Indwe staff who had
taken their time to organise this day and make it a special one. It was a sad time as the fun day drew to a close as Indwe staff would treasure the time spent with Botshabelo for a long time. Indwe risk services could not have spent their 3rd anniversary any other way, by doing what truly matters, giving back.
A big Thank you to Botshabelo and the wonderful staff & volunteers, Aimee Gribbon, May Smith, Max Rath, Elke Day and Jeannette Moloto for allowing us to spend to spend this wonderful day with the children."
