Taylor Lyall: Volunteer Township Teacher
Submitted by Admin on Wed, 2010/01/27 - 3:03pm.I’m officially done volunteering for Botshabelo. It’s been a really great year. Well, 11 months to be exact. God has done a lot, most of which I probably won't ever see. I taught 1st grade for nine months at a crèche that Botshabelo runs in the community of Olievenhoutbosch. Even though I wasn’t a trained teacher, it was amazing to see how far these kids came in this school year.

International Volunteers Impact Live's of Orphaned & Abandoned Children
Submitted by Admin on Fri, 2010/01/08 - 3:54pm.Toddler returns to his family!
Submitted by Admin on Tue, 2009/12/01 - 11:39am.On Monday, little Thabiso left for Zimbabwe with his aunt to return to his maternal family. His aunt has been saving to return home and she spent a few days visiting with him before setting off on a bus journey home. He will be introduced to his granny, who is anxious to meet him, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and possibly even some siblings! Although he has only been with us for a short 4 months, he has already crept into everyone’s hearts but we trust that God will continue to watch over him and that he will impact his community as he grows older.

Day at the Zoo for Tiisetso kids!
Submitted by Admin on Wed, 2009/09/30 - 11:19am.Tiisetso Edu Care is a créche run by Botshabelo in the community of Olievenhoutbosch. In the middle of September, the kids of Tiisetso Edu Care had a day they will never forget. From the money raised at an Urban Life women’s event, these kids were given a day at the Pretoria Zoo. This was a great day as the kids learned a lot, but also had a ton of fun. I’m sure it was the first time for most of the kids to see these animals up close.
