Mandela Day calls on us all, every day, to make the world a better place.
Why not help us fill 67 square meters in honour of his great legacy!
Through Mandela Day in 2018, we were able to collect 6 months’ worth of formula and nappies for our Babies Home, one hundred tins of formula and thirteen thousand nappies. Thank you to everyone, companies, schools and individuals alike who joined us for this lovely day. We received a true mountain of donations:
- Over 300 nappy-packages and 85 tins!
- 424 baby items from shampoo to lotion and vaseline!
- PLUS over 1000 food items and 745 stationery items.
We are deeply grateful for the amount of support Mandela Day generates each year. These donations directly translate into BETTER CARE and BETTER EDUCATION for our babies, preschoolers and teacher trainees—as it makes our arms strong to work with and for them, rather than working day in and out to cover our daily needs. With these donations, we have enough nappies and formula to help cover our daily needs in the Babies Home for 5-7 months! These donations ALSO allow us to support families in need by providing care packages. THANK YOU for partnering with us to invest into the lives of the vulnerable, giving them tools for a brighter future. View the day on our Facebook Album: Mandela Day 2018
Will you JOIN US for 2019??? Gather your friends, neighbours, and colleagues to MAKE A DIFFERENCE on Mandela Day!
HOW IT WORKS
Gather your colleagues, friends, or family and collect items for our MIDRAND MANDELA SQUARE (67 squares) in the weeks leading up to Mandela Day. On the 18th of July, come to Botshabelo (groups of all sizes welcome) to add your donations to the 67 square meters. Grab a coffee, make your mark and celebrate with pictures while we tell your group who we are and what we do. As you plan your collection, here is our Botshabelo NEEDS LIST_Mandela Day 2019.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a company that wants to do a project on that day, as we have several available to book.
Together, let’s make Mandela Day 2019, one of the best yet!
