100th Baby into Babies Home Gets Adopted!

Senzi, our first baby into the home holding the 100th baby to come into the home…

It was a cold day in June this year that we were told to prepare to receive a new baby, our 100th baby to be admitted to our home. A tiny little girl in a new pink baby grow arrived just after noon. We bathed her and dressed her in warmer clothing swaddling her in a warm blanket; she gulped down a hundred ml of formula and went to sleep. This was the beginning of a four month journey during which time she grew into an incrdibly contented and smiling baby, a firm favourite with all caregivers and volunteers. It was with a feeling of great joy, tinged with a sense of sorrow, when we knew that she would be going and we started to select what she would be wearing on her adoption day. The day of the hand-over she looked so sweet in the pink outfit that her new dad’s first words when he saw her were “my little doll”. The look of absolute love and adoration on her new mom's face was amazing, INSTANT LOVE.  Her new grandparents were also there along with her 5 year old sister.  Grandpa who is a photographer was clicking away. What a wonderful start to her new life!

Thank you Lord for answering all out prayers.
